CaddyBytes 🏆 2026 LIV Golf Virginia Final Round Highlights: The final round of LIV Golf Virginia at Trump National Golf Club Washington, D.C. delivered a dramatic finish after Lucas Herbert entered Sunday still in control of the individual race. Herbert had built the lead with rounds of 64 and 63 earlier in the week, but Sergio Garcia, Jon Rahm, Bryson DeChambeau, Anthony Kim, Josele Ballester, and others all gave the final day plenty of movement before the trophy was decided.
Early in the round, Rahm tried to ignite a charge with an eagle look at the first, while Ballester returned to the spotlight one day after nearly shooting 59. Anthony Kim also became one of the biggest stories of the day, birdieing six of his opening eight holes and eventually firing a brilliant 10-under 62 to help push the team competition toward a playoff.
Herbert did not have a stress-free closing stretch. Garcia kept applying pressure, Bryson moved into solo third with a strong weekend finish, and a late rain delay added even more tension with only a couple of holes left. Still, Herbert steadied himself when it mattered, finishing at 24-under par for a wire-to-wire victory and his first individual LIV Golf title.
The team race added one more layer of drama after regulation play. Sergio Garcia's Fireballs GC and Dustin Johnson's 4Aces GC went to a playoff at the 18th, with David Puig and Josele Ballester representing the Fireballs against Thomas Detry and Anthony Kim for the 4Aces. Kim's huge final round carried into the playoff, and the 4Aces finished off the victory for their third team win of the season.
By the end of the day, LIV Golf Virginia had produced a wire-to-wire individual champion, a weather-interrupted finish, a playoff for the team title, and one of Anthony Kim's best performances since returning to competitive golf. Herbert's victory also moved him into U.S. Open position, giving the Australian a major championship reward to go with his breakthrough LIV Golf win.
